Below are some commonly – asked questions about FOODICAVE food containers. If you have further questions, feel free to contact us.

Product

Each FOODICAVE meal prep container measures approximately 24 x 15 x5cm when closed and is about 150g.

It is designed with 3 compartments for portion control. The volume of each compartment is 670ml, 215ml and 150ml respectively, 1035ml in total.

Yes. It is made of polypropylene (PP grade #5) and the lid is made of polyethylene (PE), which has been approved safe with food contact by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

FOODICAVE containers have been tested by an accredited laboratory to ensure it meets the FDA requirements contained in the Code of Federal Regulations (21 CFR 177.1520).

Yes our containers are BPA-free & lead-free. They are tested and certified by an accredited laboratory that no Bisphenol A (BPA) & lead (Pb) is detected.

Our container (base) is made of microwave-safe materials that can be used to reheat precooked foods. These containers are not intended for cooking.

The lid is NOT designed to be used in microwave. Please remove lid before heating up food in microwave.

To keep your new FOODICAVE container performing at its best, please use the following guidelines:

  • Do not use in a conventional oven, under a grill, on a stove top, or in convection microwave ovens.
  • Do not use for popping corn.
  • To avoid severe damage to the container, do not reheat foods high in fat, sugar or oils.
  • To prevent staining and blistering, avoid reheating foods like tomato-based sauces, curries or beetroot.
  • Handle hot containers with care after reheating. If overheating, allow containers to cool before handling.

Our containers can be safely washed on the top shelf of dishwasher. Performance has been tested to a temperature over 60 degrees on a 60 minute cycle for numerous cycles.

Make sure the container is secured so that it does not come in contact with the heating element to avoid melting.

We recommend hand wash the lid to maintain the integrity and quality of the lid.

Both the container and the lid can also be washed by hand in warm soapy water. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scrubbers as they may dull the finish and leave scratches.

Our containers are made of materials that are safe for freezer use. 

Please note that the containers may become temporarily stiff and less flexible after freezing and may break if dropped.  Allow the containers to rest in room temperature for a few minutes to allow easy opening of the lid.

Our containers are leakproof not only on the lid but also between the 3 compartments. Ensure the lid is fully closed and secured by pressing down the lid firmly along each compartment each time.

They are designed to hold wet foods (yoghurts, fruits, dips or something of a similar consistency) but not for liquid consistency such as water or soup. For some juicy fruits, e.g. watermelons, you can place a paper towel underneath to avoid leaking.

Before storing, dry the containers thoroughly with soft towel or airdry to avoid moisture and mould build up.

Our containers are designed to be stackable thus saving space in your pantry, fridge or freezer.

Keep the containers away from sharp utensils to avoid scratching the smooth surfaces.

Please make sure all the details you provided are correct at the time of placing the order. FOODICAVE is not obliged to re-deliver the goods due to incorrect address, insufficient information or not arranging redelivery of a missed parcel in the allocated timeframe outlined by the courier. If the order is returned to us, it will incur additional postage to re-deliver the goods. 

FOODICAVE cannot be held responsible for loss of theft if you give “Authority to Leave” on your order note, meaning you choose to waive your rights for replacements if tracking shows your order as delivered. In the unfortunate event of the goods deemed lost by the courier, we will re-deliver the goods to you.

Please contact us immediately if you notice you have provided us the incorrect details. If the order has been dispatched already, FOODICAVE is not held liable.

At FOODICAVE, we do our best to get the products to your hands as quick as possible.

We post Australia – wide via Australia Post or courier service.

Flat rate delivery

We offer a flat rate shipping fee of $9.95 (standard) for all orders within Australia.

Express delivery

We offer express shipping for $18.95. Orders for Express Delivery must be placed before 12 pm AEST Monday – Friday and we can have your items to you the next business day. Please ensure to check if your postcode is covered by Australia Post’s “Guaranteed Next Day” delivery service.

Delivery time frames

Approximate Australia-wide delivery times from the date of dispatch:

Standard: 2-4 business days (major cities and suburbs), 5-10 business days (some regional areas/between some capital cities or interstate locations)

Express: next business day (when the order is placed before 12pm AEST and make sure you are within the Guaranteed Next Day” delivery service.

However, we have no control over the delivery times and services of Australia Post and courier company.

Dispatch

Our dispatch team operate Monday to Friday. We endeavor to dispatch orders next business day, upon receipt of full payment including postage.

A shipping confirmation email will be sent when your order has been dispatched which contains the tracking details. If you did not receive the email with the tracking code, please contact us on: admin@foodicave.com

We do not ship internationally at this stage. Sorry for any inconvenience.

We do not refund for the change of mind. Please check the dimensions and details of the item before purchasing.

We only refund or replace items if they are defective, damaged or incorrect on arrival, please email us within 7 days from the date you received it, with multiple photos and clear descriptions to identify the fault. A proof of purchase is also required. You will be notified on the approval or rejection by email upon receipt and inspection of your returned items.

If approved, we will contact you about replacing the product or initiating a refund. If a refund will be initiated, it may take up to 10 business days for the funds to be credited to the purchasing account.

A product will not be deemed faulty if the perceived fault is due to general wear and tear which is not created during the manufacture process and is not claimable.
